Reader — the AI reading room

What it makes

Reader is a reading room for documents. Open a PDF and get a summary of the whole thing or of one section, ask your own questions and get answers with the page they came from, and turn what you read into a slide deck. It reads over the same asset library as the rest of Grafy.

For papers, reports and contracts you have to get through rather than admire — when you need to know what a document says before you decide how much of it to read.

How a session works

1. Open a PDF from your library or upload one; everything you have opened is waiting, most recent first.
2. Summarise the whole document or a single section, and ask questions about the parts that matter.
3. Turn the answers into a slide deck, or keep reading with the citations beside you.

What it costs

Opening, re-reading and searching a document you already have cost nothing. Summaries, answers and generated decks spend credits per request.

Generation spends credits: paid plans include a monthly allowance, the Free plan starts with a one-time welcome grant, and you can top up at any time.

Questions

Can I ask questions about my own PDF?

Yes, and the answer comes back with the page it came from, so you can check it against the document rather than take it on trust.

Can it summarise just one chapter?

Yes. Summarise the whole document when you want the shape of it, or one section when you only need that part.

Can I get slides out of a document?

Yes. What you read becomes a slide deck, which is usually why somebody read the document in the first place.

Where are my documents kept?

In the same asset library the rest of Grafy uses, so a paper you read here is the paper Chat and Scribe can reach without a second upload.
